My review of these items:
This is my first Duvet so I was a bit apprehensive as to how it worked. All I kept thinking in my mind was how would this white hold up to the antics of my four year old. Well I realized, you need a cover so I got both. A Duvet is a grown up comforter. I received it and felt like a real grown up. When you tell people you have a Duvet for your bed they seem to look at you differently almost as if you magically have become wiser. Its pretty dang awesome to be honest.
The actual Duvet though is quite soft and plush. It is made of a down-altenative microfiber. This is an excellent feature for someone like me who has tons of allergies. It fits nicely on a queen size bed and has a good amount of overhang on a full. I put it on my queen size bed because I just figured it seemed right. The softness of it reminds me of a well loved teddy bear. Once you snuggle into it you never want to leave its warm embrace. I personally believe everyone should own a Duvet and several Duvet Covers.
I chose this 3 piece Duvet cover set to go along with my new Royal Hotel Bedding Duvet. The cover set is a gorgeous navy blue and white reversible set. One side of the cover is a deep navy blue with a white design inlay. The other side has a crisp white background with a rich navy blue design inlay. The set also comes with two pillow shams which are both reversible.
The cover easily fastens to the duvet. There are ties in each of the corners of the cover that fasten to the loops on the corners of the duvet. Once it the duvet is secure to the cover and all pushed inside, the cover has buttons on one end to fully encase the duvet. It is super easy to put together. It is soft against my skin in a snuggly way. I will say however it is easier to put it together with the assistance of a friend.
